Question 1 From: Dr. Meng Xu
Should there be a upcoming events announcement which has links to the seminar? This is a great idea. Thanks. Question 2 From: Julian McCreary
vikram, is it fair to view your seminar format, as an online poster session. if so, then i suppose you could regive a seminar at a later date, for participants like that overslept.
in any case, i am again impressed with this software. The seminar transcript will be available 24 hours after the presentation time. Also, the seminar presentation will be available as a link from the DecVar Auditorium page. Question 3 From: Vikram Mehta
Loreen, how much time does it take to transfer a Powerpoint presentation, say, 45 minutes long to this facility? If you have an existing presentation in something, such as Powerpoint, you can go through a slide at a time and save out each one as an image. In this case, you can create a very extensive presentation very very quickly. Question 4 From: Amita Mehta
Loreen, can I save my Power Point Presentation as 'web page' and use it? It will be possible to do that in the future, however, the ability to go through a slide at a time as this facility does, will be lost. The presentation window would display your powerpoint converted presentation. As far as I am aware, Powerpoint creates a framed HTML page when you save as HTML.
In that case, the presentation itself, and images would need to be sent so the file can be put on the DecVar server.
Question 5 From: Murat Gunduz
is it possible to make any one of the window bigger during seminar, for example now the question window?
You can resize each frame individually in your browser window. It may be easier to experiement with screen setup and browser windows before the actual start time of the seminar. Question 6 From: Diane Stanitski
How do you see an entire graphic? If a graphic is too large to see you would need to use the scrollbars on your browser window to view all. Later browsers will try and reduce the graphic images to fit the display within the window. If this happens, hovering your mouse over the image will display an 'enlarge/reduce' icon.
